I’m a freelance journalist based in Cape Town, South Africa. While I cut my teeth as a content producer and travel writer at Traveller24, I am passionate about all sorts of storytelling - from constructing a well-worded tweet to putting together user-friendly copy for corporate websites.
Content Writing & Editing - Whether you're looking for web copy, blog posts, wording for press releases/advertorials, image captions, newsletters... you name it, I've got you covered.
Social Media Management - Let me take care of your social media channels to ensure that your followers receive the most relevant and engaging updates that will keep them coming back for more. This package includes planning and execution of any online campaigns/competitions you may be interested in running.
Journalism - Incurably curious, I leave no stone unturned in my search for a good story. Although I tend to focus on travel, conservation and wildlife, my interests stretch far and wide, enabling me to find intriguing nuggets of information wherever I go.
I am 100% bilingual and can offer all these services in both English and Afrikaans.
In my spare time, I like to pour some heart and soul into a variety of side projects to keep my creativity on top form. The two I am currently focusing on are:
Peregrina - A personal blog where I like to share family stories, funny anecdotes, emotional musings and the odd 35mm photograph or two.
Wild Woman Interviews - ‘The Wild Woman Interviews’ is a series of Q&As with women who do interesting, brave and inspiring things. The name hints at how nature, the outdoors, travel, the natural cycles of life etc. motivate and influence their passions and pursuits.
#Peregrinapreloved - An online shop born out of my own love for thrift-shopping. All #Peregrinapreloved items are vintage/second-hand and lovingly sourced from all corners of Cape Town, the Western Cape and South Africa.
